We'll meet in the Oak Room at Tresidder Memorial Union. Tresidder has a convenience store and food places on the ground level (we'll feed you about 1200 calories, but you might want more). We tried to reserve parking (at $22/space), but we were not allowed even one space. So we strongly advise that you come early in order to get good parking. If you do this, you can find parking close to our event. You'll need to pay a machine $12, but this shouldn't be too complicated. You can download a parking map. As the event gets closer, we'll have more details about parking.More help on parking . . .
We suggest you print this parking info and bring it with you. But above all, we suggest you come just before 8 a.m. if you can. That way you'll probably get good parking near our event.
Hotels
We've negotiated a good rate at Dinah's Garden Hotel. The promotional rate had ended, but you get still try by calling this number: 1-800-227-8220 (our group is #701652). This hotel is 3 miles from Stanford, so you'll need a car to get to the event location at Tresidder.Even though our promotional rate has ended, you can also try to book a room at one of two hotels closest to Stanford: The Westin Palo Alto and the Sheraton Palo Alto. From these hotels you can walk to Mobile Persuasion in about 20 minutes, or you can walk about 150 meters and take Stanford's Marguerite Shuttle to our event location at Tresidder.
